Call Her Daddy Podcast gives bad advice

call her daddy podcast is bad

“Cheat or be cheated on” said the Call her Daddy Podcast hosts Alex and Sophia, (now only Alex).

It is amazing that the host is normalizing women’s sexuality by so freely discussing the shit we go through, without the embarrassment or shame that is sometimes attached to women’s sex lives. But is this the only way to do so?

Ah, yes, shock value = entertainment = $$$$

Public, female perspectives on sex are important because they destigmatize female desire, ensure that women are comfortable communicating their needs in the bedroom, and reinforce the importance of consent.

Call Her Daddy tends to do the opposite.

An episode called “Are We F—ing on the First Date?” details how a woman should cope with vomiting during oral sex because of a low-tolerance gag-reflex. Not once do they tell their listeners to stop if they’re so uncomfortable they’re literally fucking vomiting. They emphasize that women must meet every arachaic sexual expectation that men have dreamt up, from hiding their sexual pasts to making up for “being unattractive” by performing like porn stars.

The women insist that “if you’re not sucking your man’s dick, someone else is.” This feeds the insecurity women already often feel in committed relationships, and it’s disrespectful to the evolution of many men. Not all men are sex-crazed and place getting laid above their relationship.

The hosts enthusiastically share tips for creating a Seeking Arrangements profile, and warn their female listeners that men see them as ‘just a hole’ and should therefore avoid having developing real feelings for them.

I have received messages asking for advice from women saying they are feeling insecure in their relationships even though their bf’s haven’t done anything wrong. The common denominator they all mentioned? All the women are dedicated CHD listeners.

Call Her Daddy host Alex often normalizes toxic romance, saying things like, “the person who cares the least in the relationship holds all the power.” Should you strive to not give a fuck in a relationship you care about? Why even be in that relationship if it’s a “who gives less fucks” contest? If you are seeking a relationship and don’t care about the person you are with, how about…just leaving them without playing exhausting games?

Alex and Sofia dole out terrible relationship advice to the young, impressionable women who naively view them as role models.

Call Her Daddy Podcast is a show about and for young women who are disillusioned with modern dating, and thrilled to be taking back their power…by allowing men to abuse and use them as the women fool themselves into believing they are controlling the situation. Don’t worry about the oncoming depression that follows the self-sabotaging behavior the hosts encourage, you can always self-soothe with copious amounts of alcohol like they do.

Are you a girl in her 20’s who likes to go to clubs and fuck random dudes? Perhaps CHD’s advice is better suited for you than someone who is trying to be in an adult relationship.

You know what, though? Even if you are inyour 20s and like to go to clubs and fuck random dudes, you should still tell yourself that this podcast is for entertainment purposes only. You can be sexually free and experiment without heeding toxic advice.

And while Call Her Daddy (now consisting of only one daddy, Alex) tends to be cringey, it will provide a few laughs for some people.
